Your occupational therapist / social worker can assess your physical needs and the necessary improvements required to your home. This can help you be more independent. Means-tested grants are available for major adaptations such as:

Level access showers
Ramps
Extensions

Help can also be provided with smaller adaptations such as fitting grab rails.
